Content creation is often misunderstood. From viral reels and YouTube vlogs to brand deals and collaborations, the outside world sees glamour—but behind the scenes, the journey is layered with discipline, consistency, struggle, and smart decision-making. In this powerful episode of The Supreet Singh Show, host Supreet Singh, one of the emerging podcasters in India, sits down with Ashish, a YouTube vlogger and digital creator, to decode the real earnings of content creators, the truth about different social media platforms, and an inspiring personal journey that started with adversity and transformed into purpose. This conversation goes far beyond numbers. It explores mindset, originality, audience understanding, and the reasons creators must treat social media as a serious profession.

The episode begins by breaking down the harsh truth about creator income. While viral creators like Carry Minati and Saurabh Joshi reportedly earn in crores through YouTube ads and brand promotions, such success comes after years of consistency and audience trust. Ashish shares that creators with 10,000–20,000 followers can realistically earn anywhere between ₹70,000 to ₹1,00,000 per month, depending on engagement, niche, and brand conversion—not just follower count.

One of the most powerful moments of this podcast is Ashish’s personal journey. In 2013, during his 12th grade, he survived a severe accident that resulted in neurosurgery and a month‑long coma. Recovery took over six months, followed by years of medication. Swelling and surgery marks deeply affected his confidence, leading him to hide behind long hair and self-doubt. Instead of giving up, he searched for purpose—and found it through creativity.

Ashish’s journey began with photography and editing during recovery. His father supported him by giving him a DSLR camera—an uncommon luxury at the time. Starting with free shoots, he gradually transitioned into paid work and assisted on Punjabi music videos, learning everything on the job. His photos with celebrities like Gauhar Khan and Jassi Gill gained recognition, helping him build a strong professional portfolio. Despite early insecurity, Ashish eventually appeared on camera. TikTok helped him gain initial traction before its ban. Moving to Instagram Reels was challenging due to fewer filters, but Snapchat’s creative tools helped him regain confidence. His association with Chandigarh Bites marked a turning point—bringing discipline, public recognition, and real fan moments that validated his journey.
