About the Award and the Evening
The awards were organised by the Media Federation of India (MFI) in association with the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), Chandigarh Chapter, and hosted at PHD House. Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh and British Deputy High Commissioner Alba Smeriglio handed out the honours. PRCI Chandigarh Chapter Chairman Dr Rupesh Singh said the awards celebrate professionals and social entrepreneurs making a meaningful impact through leadership and service. MFI National President Arun Sharma praised the awardees for their dedication, excellence, and outstanding contributions to society.
The Distinguished Names Honoured
Supreet Singh stood among 32 distinguished personalities recognised that evening, across fields as varied as administration, defence, sport, media, and the arts. Among them were Acharya Manish for Natural Healing, senior journalists Jagwinder Patial and Braj Mohan Singh, and Master Anoop Saini for excellence in the CBSE Class 12 examination. Lt Gen. Amar Aul was honoured for defence services, IAS officer Rakhee Gupta Bhandari for civil administration, and IPS officer Sanjeev Kalra for police administration. Aditi Sheoran was recognised for women’s cricket, IAS officer Pankaj Rai for hospital administration, and Amarjit Singh Mehta for promoting cricket in Punjab. The list also featured Ananya Gupta for academic excellence, Indrani Pandhi for media, Dr Varinder Garg for heritage and culture, Punjabi singer Jagjit Bhinder, and millet chef Vikas Chawla.
