In this episode of The Supreet Singh Show, I sat down with expert in astrology, numerology and Vastu. I’ll admit I came in a little sceptical. I’m an engineer by training and I’ve run a business for over 13 years, so I trust things I can measure. I expected talk of lucky stones and magic fixes. What I got was a lot of common sense.
I opened with the question I’ve always wanted to ask. If astrology works, why do twins with the same birth chart end up living completely different lives? They didn’t hesitate. A chart is a blueprint, they said, not a verdict. Your karma, your surroundings and the choices you make decide what you build on it. Hard work can make up for a weak planet. Even Shani’s Saade Sati is a stretch that rewards discipline, not a sentence.
Vastu was where the stories came out. One family had struggled with money for years, and the problem turned out to be a toilet in the southeast corner, the fire zone traditionally linked to Lakshmi. Once it was removed, things slowly began to settle. I was surprised that most of their advice didn’t involve breaking walls. Keep bathroom doors shut. Keep the kitchen’s fire away from water. Put a water element in the northeast. And before you worry about any of that, clear the clutter. A dirty, crowded home will undo the most perfect layout.
We talked about colours too: yellow for Jupiter, green for growth, red for the fire element and the flow of money. They pointed out how many successful brands use these colours in their logos. In numerology, one extra letter can change everything. An additional “s” in Ashish, they explained, shifts the name’s total to a far more favourable number. Then came the warning I liked best. If you stop working because a day is “inauspicious,” or you panic over the wrong shirt colour, you’ve missed the point. Fear does more damage than any planet.
I asked how ordinary people can spot a genuine expert. Their answer was simple. A good one asks you a lot of questions first, gives you realistic advice, and talks about your habits as much as your house. Anyone who promises overnight riches through a secret remedy only they can sell you should be avoided.
By the end, I hadn’t become a believer in everything, but I’d let go of my cynicism. These systems are guides, not crutches. You still have to put in the work, live cleanly and treat people well. The stars can point the way, but you still have to walk it.
